Today, we have decided to share a special feature. It is not only their wedding anniversary but also a time of reflection for Team MP.
We love all our clients and feel very fortunate to be able to capture and spend a significant day in their life.
This is the first time we have shared Chris and Natalie's wedding in its full entirety, as we only shared a small selection of previews in the past. It's been difficult to decide which images we should share, as their wedding photography collection contains over 450 images. However, we have decided to share 300 images, and these can be viewed within this feature after you have read their amazing story.
THE DAY OF THEIR WEDDING
We can tell that our clients appreciate high-quality photography when we visit their homes. Their walls are filled with photographs; memories of happy times, family and friends.
That was certainly the case when Team MP visited Natalie at her parent's house. This was the location of her bridal preparations on the day she married Chris, and once again we found ourselves in another home where everything was cool, calm and under control. Natalie's Alfred Angelo wedding gown was absolutely stunning, and we thoroughly enjoyed capturing her bridal preps. We not only felt welcome but a part of her family home instantly.
With the appointed hour drawing near, Natalie’s camper vans (plural) arrived to take her and her bridal party to the church. Natalie and Chris actually had three VW Camper Vans, and this required the services of two separate VW Camper Van hire companies, VW Days and CW Campervans. A wonderful collaboration, evident throughout this feature.
Perlethorpe Church is something of a hidden gem; tucked-away near Clumber Park in North Nottinghamshire, it is the quintessential village church, surrounded by stunning English countryside.
As we arrived, Groom Chris was already greeting some of the guests, only just having arrived himself in a Maserati, no less. After everyone had arrived and were safely ensconced in the church, the camper vans arrived with the bridal party.
After a brief discussion with the vicar, Natalie took the long, beautiful walk down the aisle in her Alfred Angelo gown, with her father to marry her future husband Chris, who was waiting patiently for her at the alter.
The vicar did not give us permission to capture images throughout their ceremony, but this was not a problem.
Their vows were exchanged, rings placed on each other's fingers and the register was signed.
The couple then stepped out into the perfect June sunshine where they met their friends and family and participated in a fun photograph session outside the front of the church, ably directed by Team MP’s Pamela.
The reception was held at one of our favourite venues, Kelham House near Newark. This beautiful venue was hired exclusively for the use of the wedding couple and their guests, and offered a stunning location that provided catering, accommodation and grounds to cater all of their wedding requirements.
After drinks, formal photographs and canapés, everyone adjourned to the dining room for the wedding breakfast and a series of extremely moving speeches by Chris, Natalie’s father and Chris’ Best Man.
One of the many advantages of holding a wedding at Kelham House is the extensive grounds. Towards the rear of the venue is a woodland area which made the perfect location for a series of romantic photographs with just Natalie and Chris.
With the cake cut and the first dance completed, we left this very special couple to enjoy the rest of their day.
We have been fortunate to see Natalie and Chris on several occasions since their wedding, and we can honestly say they are two of the loveliest customers we have ever had, although it must be said that they feel more like friends than customers.
We cannot wait to see what the future holds for this very special couple.
Happy 1st Wedding Anniversary!
Their wedding day and photography captured will always remain close to our heart as we have such happy memories. We hope these images make you smile as much as they do us.
As always, enjoy! :-)
