Today, we are delighted to share the beautiful wedding of Leah and Andy captured by www.markpugh.com.
Mark Pugh was privileged to have been able to capture Leah and Andy's beautiful wedding at one his favourite venues, Stoke Rochford Hall.
THE DAY OF THEIR WEDDING
Mark joined bride-to-be Leah in her family home which was a hive of bustling activity with hair, make-up and a fabulous buffet. He took the time to capture the mood of the preparations, before heading to photograph Leah's dress, shoes and other wedding-related items. Before long, Leah's hair and make-up were complete, and beautiful images of her dress being fastened were captured. With the bridal preparation photographs complete, it was time to head over to the ceremony and reception venue, Stoke Rochford Hall, where groom Andy was putting the final touches to their incredible setting.
As ever, the large orangery provided the grand backdrop to their ceremony. The couple added a beautiful floral archway which provided a stunning, and not to mention, unique, centrepiece.
One of Leah's friends, Kayleigh, sang a song. When they were 12, she told her she would be singing at her wedding, and true to her word, that's exactly what happened.
There wasn't a dry eye in the room after the emotional ceremony had concluded. It is worth mentioning that the couple opted for a Social Media ban (unplugged wedding ceremony) during their wedding, allowing their guests to enjoy the day.
Mark Pugh said: "Social Media bans, especially of photographs taken during the wedding ceremony itself, are often a good idea as your guests can focus on your wedding ceremony. Lots of couples now take control of their social media, and your wedding officiant will be more than willing to speak to your wedding guests about respecting your ban."
After drinks and canapés on the terrace, there was time for formal photographs and the couple's newlyWED love session. With time to spare, the couple were back in the hall for their Wedding Breakfast.
Mark Pugh said: "I always work closely with the management of every wedding venue I work at to ensure that the day runs to time, and my photography sessions do not hold up the serving of any food. Couples, and the on-site staff really appreciate this unobtrusive approach."
With the food, speeches, cake-cut and first dance complete, Mark left the couple to dance the night away, surrounded by their friends and family.
Congratulations!
We wish them every happiness for the future, and we hope you enjoy viewing 100 plus firstLOOK wedding image previews.
Their final wedding photography collection will contain over 350 plus images, and we will share additional image previews soon.
As always, enjoy.
ABOUT THEIR WEDDING VENUE STOKE ROCHFORD HALL
The current Stoke Rochford Hall building was constructed in the 1840sThe estate was occupied by Harry Wyndham Jefferson and his wife Gwendolen Mary Talbot at the beginning of the 20th century.
In 1940 the house was requisitioned by the War Office, and used for a variety of purposes. It became the headquarters of the Second Battalion, the Parachute Regiment. It was in the Library at Stoke Rochford that the ill fated 1944 Arnhem ‘drop’ was planned.
Purchased in 1948 from the War Office by Kesteven County Council who built modern student accommodation, the hall was home to Kesteven College of Education, a teacher-training college which closed in 1978. It retains a connection with education, as the training and conference centre of the National Union of Teachers. It is not solely used by the NUT, but is used by national organisations and companies for conferences or seminars, being closely situated to the A1 and Grantham railway station.
On 25 January 2005 a fire gutted the interior of the hall. It was restored by English Heritage which cost £ 12m over three years.
