Have we told you how much we love our clients? Well, it's true. We do. Each and every one of them. They are unique, and you only have to look back on the www.markpugh.com wedding blog to see how special they truly are!
Today, we are delighted to share the stunning Nottingham wedding of Lauren and Luis. Two very popular people in Nottingham. In fact, we would say they are Nottingham celebrities as they manage various venues, including fine dining bars and entertainment locations.
Dino's Wine Bar - Restaurant and Pepper Rocks to name but a few!
To top it off, they tied the knot in one of the most beautiful churches in Nottingham City Centre, which is something of a hidden gem, St. Mary’s, in the Lace Market quarter. You have to visit this place to truly appreciate its beauty. The venue is grand, with high ceilings and it is difficult not to be taken aback by the scale and grandeur of this most impressive venue.
Their wedding was on a day that represented typical British weather; humid temperature with endless rain. However, Mark Pugh was able to capture the most stunning images, and applied his own unique technique to create a warm atmosphere.
We are sure you will agree, the beauty was captured perfectly and their first dance emotion brings a tear to our eye!
In addition, the couple purchased various products from our Team ranging from a Fine Art wedding album and beautiful Thank You cards designed by our internal MP studio.
THE DAY OF THEIR WEDDING
It is usual for Mark Pugh to take wedding bookings some 18 months to two years in advance, sometimes even longer. So when, Lauren and Luis contacted Mark Pugh with only a handful of weeks left to go before their big day, He was delighted when he discovered he had availability in his diary that day. It is always an honour when you are able to fulfil client's requirements at short notice.
The couple’s wedding had been arranged within a matter of weeks. Why? Well, Lauren and Luis are super-organised and wanted to prove to themselves (and everyone else) that it was possible to plan a wedding in such a short space of time.
And they did! :-)
Mark Pugh joined Lauren and her ladies alongside videographer Ian Dearman as final preparations were made to her hair and makeup.
And what is the time-honoured, quintessential way to get to the church on time? By horse-drawn carriage, naturally.
Mark captured Lauren’s arrival at St. Mary's church, then settled-in to his vantage point which gave him the best possible view of the ceremony… and the rest of the church.
With their beautiful ceremony complete, it was a short journey round the corner to Pepper Rocks, a bar which the couple manage.
Pepper Rocks had been transformed into their wedding reception venue. There were two bands, a fish-and-chip van, and a real party atmosphere.
Mark Pugh and Ian Dearman took the newlyweds back out into the City of Nottingham and used the Lace Market as a backdrop for their NewlyWED love session photography and videography together.
Lauren and Luis are two of the nicest people MP has ever had the pleasure of capturing and proved an important point: It IS possible to organise a beautiful wedding with all the trimmings within a short duration.
Their fine art wedding photography collection contains over 300 images, and it has been difficult to decide which images we should share. However, Mark Pugh and his Team have managed to select 170ish of our favourite images and these can be viewed below.
We hope you enjoy viewing these photographs as much as Mark Pugh enjoyed capturing their special day.
