Angela and Karl's wedding day was so special, with so much attention to detail, it was a privilege to have been able to capture their special day.
Angela arrived in style for her wedding to Karl in the lovely Church of St. Nicholas in Lockington, near Castle Donington.
Enjoy! :-)
Angela arrived in style for her wedding to Karl in the lovely Church of St. Nicholas in Lockington, near Castle Donington.
There was a special significance to this church, because it was the place her 'Nana Betty' married Grandy Doug all those years ago. When Angela told Nana Betty she was going to marry Karl, Betty ushered her upstairs to a wardrobe in the bedroom. She opened it, and inside was her wedding dress from all those years ago. "Would you like to wear this on your wedding day?" She asked. Angela said yes, and incredibly, the dress fitted perfectly with no alterations required.
The couple resolved to travel in style to their wedding, and they secured the use of a Classic Blue Daimler V8 from award-winning wedding transport provider Dennisson Classic Cars, affectionately known as 'Charlotte'. Chauffeur Jo was on-hand to ensure Angela's exits from the car were always graceful and elegant.
Marrying in December in the United Kingdom was always going to be interesting with regard to the weather. We were fortunate to have a cloudless, clear, sunny day. However, with it being winter, the weather was extremely cold, and the couple had provided all of their guests with hand-warmers from a large box in the entrance to the church - most welcome. The bridesmaids even wore leggings underneath their dresses, to help shield them from the chilly cold!
Karl and Angela had spent months collecting and organising their 'rustic' themed table decorations. Leaves and logs were all laid out to create a spectacular winter wonderland. Karl takes up their story:
We thoroughly enjoyed capturing Karl and Angela's special day; they deserved a wonderful occasion. Their wedding reflected their personalities perfectly, and all of their hard work and attention to detail was impeccable.

"The place settings and table decorations were the most time consuming aspect of our wedding planning. We started collecting green glass and vintage jewellery from car boots and charity shops for about two years, and it became something of a hobby/obsession; we were still raiding charity shops two days before the wedding! There was a bird cage theme on the invites and we carried this through to the table decor. The leaves were collected from walking with our daughter Josephine in the park and were pressed and painted by Angela. Almost everything was hand-made and crafted by Angela, but it was a real family effort and everyone pitched in."Karl had arranged a special edited version of Aerosmith's 1997 hit 'I don't want to miss a thing' and he and Angela took the dance floor for their first dance. It was the perfect end to a wonderful wedding.

Their wedding remains one of our favourite weddings to date and their wedding photography collection contains over 500 images. It has been difficult to share a small selection. However, we've managed to select 180ish of our favourite images and these can be viewed below.
Enjoy! :-)
