If you are a regular reader of our exclusive features, you may have noticed Jacqueline and David’s stunning preWED and loveFILM where they spoke about their plans for their special day.
Mark Pugh and his Team had been looking forward to their wedding for such a long time, and now the big day had finally arrived.
THE DAY OF THEIR WEDDING
Mark Pugh joined Groom David and his men in a pub in Newark where he was enjoying a pre-ceremony pint and breakfast before heading to get ready for the ceremony.
Jacqueline and David commissioned Mark Pugh to provide his specialist photography services and capture film highlights throughout their wedding (which is a skill he has attained over the last 12 years - who said men cannot multi-task? Mark Pugh can!).
You can view a 'sneak peek' of their Wedding Highlights Film at the bottom of this beautiful feature.
Mark Pugh then joined Jacqueline at her parents' house where she was busy having her hair styled and makeup finalised, surrounded by her many bridesmaids. There was a large buffet, and Mark Pugh took the ladies in the garden for some photo fun.
Then two wedding cars arrived to take the bridesmaids, mother-of-the-bride and the bride (and her father) around the corner to Jacqueline’s local church, where Groom David was waiting for her.
The Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newark was consecrated in 1979, and has a large interior and high ceiling that never fails to impress new visitors. As Jacqueline’s friend sung in the balcony, she made her way down the aisle with her father to meet David.
Mark Pugh was asked to stay to the right of the building inside The Holy Trinity Catholic Church, which was frustrating to say the least, as it gave a very limited field of view of the wedding ceremony. However, he respected the request and was still able to capture various moments throughout their beautiful ceremony. He was pleased had permission to capture photographs and video as he has been told during previous church ceremonies not to use a camera at all which can be daunting for a couple if they weren't expecting this.
MP's advice is check prior to the wedding day and he will do all he can to query too on your behalf. Mark Pugh believes the ceremony photos or film are important moments to capture and religious venues should always allow professional photographers/videographers to capture what they can as most professionals capture photography/videography in an unobtrusive style.
With their ceremony complete, Jacqueline and David headed out into the warm August sunshine to mingle with their family and friends before leaving for their stunning wedding reception at Kelham House Country Manor Hotel.
Mark Pugh said: “I have photographed many weddings at Kelham House Country Manor Hotel previously, but I am always excited to return to one of my favourite venues.
Kelham House Country Manor Hotel offers exclusive use, a modern interior, and wonderful grounds for formal wedding photographs."
The rest of the day was filled with activity: A grand formal photograph on the central lawn in front of the Hall, group photographs, and a special newlyWED loveSESSION where Mark Pugh took the couple into the woodland area at the bottom of the extensive rear lawn at Kelham House Country Manor Hotel for a series of romantic photographs and film.
With the Wedding Breakfast and hilarious wedding speeches complete, the time had come to cut the cake and have the first dance and the father/daughter dance. Truly beautiful!
J&D are a fantastic couple, and it has been a pleasure for Mark Pugh to spend time with them from beginning to end.
Congratulations Jacqueline & David
The firstLOOK image preview selection process in the MP photoSTUDIO becomes difficult each time, as with each wedding that is photographed, Mark Pugh delivers more amazing imagery for his team to feature. However, it is always a complete joy to review the wedding photography collection before the collection is finalised, and MP's Team enjoy sharing the story captured throughout our client's special day.
Jacqueline and David's final wedding photography collection will contain 500+ images.
We have decided to share 200ish photographs on behalf of www.markpugh.com, and these can be viewed below.

ABOUT KELHAM HOUSE COUNTRY MANOR HOTEL
Mark Pugh has captured many weddings at Kelham House Country Manor Hotel, and he loves this venue for many reasons but mainly because each couple have exclusive use of the venue.
Despite only being ten minutes drive from Newark and the A1, Kelham House Country Manor Hotel sits in its own grounds yet feels as though it could be miles from anywhere. However, don’t be fooled by the seclusion and the grand, traditional exterior, Kelham House Country Manor Hotel is extremely modern internally, with a smart bar area, and a large function room.
Mark Pugh adores the extensive grounds at Kelham House Country Manor Hotel, which allows for creative wedding photography and videography.
If you are looking for a wedding venue in the Midlands area, Kelham House Country Manor Hotel should definitely be on your ‘must view’ list, along with its sister venue, Cockliffe Country House Hotel.
