If you are a fan of the Channel 4 series Location Location Location, you might recognise this lovely couple, Stephanie and Mark who appeared in the episode based in Nottingham, UK.
There is information about Stephanie and Mark’s Series 14, Episode 6 ‘Location’ episode on the Channel 4 website, www.channel4.com/programmes/location-location-location/episode-guide/series-14/.
We waited over a year, and are delighted to see this couple featured nationally in Wedding Ideas Magazine (pictured below).
We love the magazine feature, but we feel their wedding requires far more coverage than two pages and we know you will agree! Especially given the effort the couple put into their special day.
AMAZING DETAIL by two strong-minded, talented and creative individuals.
Mark Pugh and his Team held-back sharing their wedding in its full glory because of the national magazine coverage, so we’re commencing this week with this special feature, shared across two stunning venues in one of our favourite scenic areas of the United Kingdom: Rutland.
THE DAY OF THEIR WEDDING
Before their wedding, Mark Pugh joined the couple at a beautiful location on the shores of Rutland Water, Normanton Church, www.anglianwater.co.uk/leisure/water-parks/rutland/attractions/normanton-church.aspx, for their stunning preWED session. The ground floor of the church was filled with concrete and flooded when the reservoir was constructed, and Normanton Church is available today for intimate civil ceremonies. The couple took time to walk around this grand building, and admire the view as the sun set on the horizon.
Mark Pugh and the couple created a stunning set of preWED photographs, and in only a few short weeks, they were to become husband and wife.
Stephanie and Mark had a 'Wedding of two halves' in two venues on Rutland Water. They had a small, intimate ceremony and family meal at Hambleton Hall, followed by an awesome BBQ party and reception at Barnsdale Lodge with 130+ of their friends and family.
Every element of Stephanie and Mark's beautiful Rutland Water wedding had been considered.
Mark Pugh met Stephanie in her room at Barnsdale Lodge, which nestles on the shores of Rutland Water. Her immediate family were around her to assist with her final bridal preparations.
After photographing her beautiful LouLou dress from The Wedding Room, Stephanie was whisked ten minutes along the road to Hambleton Hall which sits atop the peninsular in the centre of Rutland Water.
Hambleton Hall once played host to its famous regular visitor, Noël Coward, but today it was the perfect, intimate venue for Stephanie and Mark.
With a handful of their close friends and family gathered at Hambleton Hall, their beautiful ceremony took place with two readings from family members.
With their vows exchanged, everyone stepped-out into the beautiful October sunshine for drinks in the stunning formal gardens which overlook the reservoir.
After a sumptuous Michelin-level meal, the wedding party decamped to Barnsdale Lodge where 130+ of their friends were waiting to greet them.
As they walked into the courtyard where everyone was waiting, a huge cheer erupted, and it was wonderful for Mark Pugh to experience such a rapturous welcome.
Stephanie and Mark chose their home on television as they were featured on Location, Location, Location. Kirsty and Phil (TV Show Presenters) couldn't be at the wedding in person, but they did take the time to record them a surprise video message to congratulate them on their wedding, as featured in the images below!
After three hilarious speeches, there was a BBQ and live music played into the night, provided by Leicester band, Zed’s Dead.
Most of the table decorations and detail were designed by Stephanie and handmade by Mark - a tribute to them both. Mark Pugh and his Team have rarely seen such attention to detail and skill displayed, and a second career in wedding table design beckons for them both!
Stephanie and Mark are a wonderful couple, and it was a genuine privilege for Mark Pugh to have been able to share their special day with them in two stunning locations (location, locations).
When Mark Pugh last met this couple, Stephanie was pregnant! :-) yes.
Mark Pugh thoroughly enjoyed capturing these special moments in their life journey and we would like to wish them the very best for the future.
Their main wedding photography collection contains over 400+ images. However, we have decided to share 150ish images on behalf of www.markpugh.com and these can be viewed below.
As always, enjoy.
WEDDING CEREMONY VENUE
Hambleton Hall is located in the village of Hambleton close to Oakham, Rutland, England. As of 2011, the restaurant holds one star in the Michelin Guide. The Hall was built in 1881 as a hunting box by Walter Marshall who left it to his sister, Eva Astley Paston Cooper. She was a socialite who gathered a salon including Noël Coward, Malcolm Sargent and Charles Scott-Moncrieff. The hall has overlooked Rutland Water since the reservoir's construction in the 1970s. The building was converted into a country house hotel in 1979 by Tim and Stefa Hart.
RECEPTION VENUE
Barnsdale Lodge has been in Thomas Noel's family since 1760 and formed part of the adjoining Exton Park, seat of the Earls of Gainsborough. Formerly a farmhouse, Barnsdale Lodge was converted by Thomas in 1989 and is positioned on the North shore of Rutland Water in heart of the beautiful, unspoilt, county of Rutland, just a few minutes from the historic towns of Oakham, Oundle, Uppingham and Stamford.
Barnsdale Lodge is lovingly managed by Ed Burrows (Managing Director) and Paul Freeman (General Manager), outstanding stars of their trade. Thomas splits his time between Norfolk, Rutland and London where he has interests including a new Club in Mayfair with Robin Birley and a directorship of Bride Hall Group.
