Mark Pugh joined bride Emily and her bridal party at the four-star Belton Woods Hotel near Grantham for their bridal preparations. As the final touches were being made to her hair and makeup, MP was able to photograph her dress, shoes (more about this later) and other accessories. Her bridesmaids included her daughter, along with Beth and Claire. You may recognise Claire if you’re a regular reader of our blog: We flew to Cyprus to photograph her destination wedding.
The couple had allowed plenty of time for each activity during the course of their special day, which gave us the opportunity to visit groom Daniel (A.K.A. Danny) at home, as he was making the final adjustments to his suit with Best Man Richard.
With both the Bride and Groom photographed before the ceremony, Mark Pugh called-in at the reception venue to photograph the team finishing-off its beautiful transformation.
After a short drive, we arrived in the centre of the historic town of Newark, the scene of the couple’s wedding ceremony. The Newark Registry Office is based in the Gilstrap Centre, an historic building which sits in the grounds of Newark Castle, which itself, sits alongside the banks of the River Trent. The beautiful interior of this stunning building was the perfect backdrop to Emily and Dan’s wonderful ceremony, and for a Registry Office wedding, it is hard to imaging a more perfect location in the East Midlands.
With the formalities complete, Mark Pugh took everyone out of the rear of the building into the grounds of Newark Castle. Although the castle is a ruin, large parts of the wall are still intact, and it provided a stunning backdrop for formal photographs and group shots.
We returned to the Hall in the couple’s home village (Bottesford, UK) which had been completely transformed with balloon arches, beautiful chair covers and table decorations, not to mention a candy cart, a chocolate fountain and a candy floss machine.
After an emotional speech by Emily’s father, Mark, Damien from D'Z Disco and Prop Shots Studios arrived to provide the entertainment. In addition to a disco, Damien and his team also provide a complimentary Prop Shot photo-booth service. All of the fun photographs from the session are uploaded onto Facebook the same night, and the Prop Shots provided a fun activity for many of the couple’s friends and family.
Emily and Dan have been together for years, and it was wonderful to be able to share their special day with the couple and their family.
We hope you enjoy viewing this stunning collection of 100+ image previews. Their final wedding photography collection will contain over 250 images and as you can see, it doesn't matter where you get married, your wedding photography will be AMAZING if captured and processed by www.markpugh.com.
As always, enjoy.
