Today, we are delighted to share Rachel and Sean's wedding who married at Osbournby Church followed by a beautiful wedding reception at The Chequers, Woolsthorpe, in the Vale of Belvoir, UK.
THE DAY OF THEIR WEDDING
Their special day began with extremely relaxed bridal preparations at Rachel's house. Sometimes, the preparations can appear calm, but have an undercurrent of stress, but this really wasn't the case with Rachel.
Her stunning wedding cars, a 1970 Daimler, and a rare 1953 Armstrong Siddley Whitely from Annabella Cars drew-up outside her house to take her to the church in Osbournby.
St. Peter and Paul's sits on the High Street in the village, and is the archetypal English Country church. After a beautiful ceremony and photographs in the churchyard, it was time to set-off for the reception at The Chequers in Woolsthorpe, a village in the heart of the beautiful Vale of Belvoir.
Of course, no visit to the Vale would be complete without a look at Belvoir Castle, so photographer Mark Pugh took the newlyweds for a mini-shoot in front of the building, and used their wedding car to good effect. It must be said that the team from Annabella Cars went above and beyond the call of duty, and couldn't have been any more helpful to the wedding party, or ourselves.
As you view their set of stunning images, you will notice an abundance of 'paparazzi' at their wedding; there's nothing wrong with that, of course, but many couples are now requesting an that their guests keep their mobile phones, tablets and digital SLRs away from their wedding, so that each guest can enjoy the day. This avoids the compulsion by guests to document every moment of the day (that's our job), and prevents potentially unflattering photographs from appearing on Social Media. If you'd like to find out more about this approach, search the internet for 'Unplugged Weddings'.
We believe The Chequers is the perfect English pub. A large and atmospheric bar, accommodation, outside seating, an en suite cricket pitch and stunning food to boot. It is difficult to imagine a more perfect venue for a wedding reception. The food, drink and service was exceptional.
There was time for everyone to take a stroll in the grounds before returning to the Inn for cake-cutting and first dance before the evening party got underway.
Mark Pugh thoroughly enjoyed capturing Rachel and Sean's wedding, and we would like to wish them continued happiness for the future.
Their main wedding photography collection contains 400+ images. However, we have decided to share 200ish images on behalf of Mark Pugh, and these can be viewed below.
As always, enjoy.
