Many weddings are based around a single venue. Some weddings feature a ceremony and reception venue, but how about Leanne and Grahame's wedding, they have THREE venues, and they're all corkers: Belvoir Castle, Stoke Rochford Hall, and The Chequers Inn at Woolsthorpe (Vale of Belvoir).
In something of a dry run, Mark Pugh (Award-winning Photographer) joined the couple in the perfect Leicestershire sunshine for a tour of their three venues.
Their morning commenced with a coffee at The Chequers in Woolsthorpe (Vale of Belvoir).
Owner Jo of the The Chequers proudly showed us their fabulous new dining room extension, which allows 120+ guests to be seated comfortably. It's the perfect location for the couple's reception. With its idyllic countryside setting, it's easy to see why the The Chequers remains one of our favourite Vale of Belvoir venues.
In addition to a magician, the couple have also arranged a band and a vintage funfair complete with coconut shy!
Next stop was Belvoir Castle.
Closed to the public on the day we visited, His Grace, the Duke of Rutland kindly granted us access. We spent a great deal of time wandering around the Duchesses Rose Garden, and Leanne (the bride) told us about their civil ceremony in the Guard Room: One of the most dramatic rooms in the castle.
Finally, we took the short drive to Stoke Rochford Hall.
This imposing building remains one of our favourites, and we never tire of photographing in the extensive grounds which feature secret gardens off the beaten path.
Award-winning Photographer, Mark Pugh spent a very enjoyable day with Leanne and Grahame, and he simply cannot wait to join them for their wedding later this year! :-)
Their main preWED photography collection contains 100+ images. However, we have decided to share 20ish of our favourite images, and these can be viewed below.
As always, enjoy.
