Emma and Matthew married at Charlotte House, a stunning venue (and hotel) nestled in the very centre of Lincoln. No detail had been overlooked, and their venue decoration theme was impeccable.
Mark Pugh joined Emma and Matthew for their wedding on Good Friday with beautiful weather, lovely friends and family, and the perfect location.
The day commenced when MP joined Matthew for groom preparations who was with the father-of-the-bride Jez and groomsmen Ross and Guy at Jez's home near Lincoln. Matthew had woken-up at 5:20 am that morning, possibly due to the excitement of what was about to happen that day. After a lot of ironing, a chat, and a cheeky beer, they were ready to head to Lincoln town centre in the wedding car, a white Range Rover.
Then after a short drive, MP caught-up with Emma for bride preparations with a few of the girls in a gorgeous townhouse in the centre of Lincoln. Her flawless makeup was expertly applied by Eloise Wilson. Her hair had been styled by Becka Bills and Emma wore a stunning hair adornment by award-winning Flo & Percy. Once the bridesmaid's make-up was touched-up, they were ready to leave for Charlotte House so that Emma could change into her stunning JDezire gown and Untold shoes.
With everyone on-site at the Charlotte House, it was a hive of activity as everyone put the final touches to this most special of days. With guests seated in the ceremony room, the time had come for Emma to take the short walk down the aisle with Jez to meet Matthew. Beautiful rose-accents on the chair backs, and candles in circular glass spheres perfectly complemented the stunning florals, all provided by Fairytales.
After a stunning ceremony with two beautiful readings, Emma and Matthew were now husband and wife. We all took a short walk across the road to take drinks in the grounds of The Victoria, a pub which has Lincoln Castle next door, making it the perfect location for photographs. We returned to The Lawn next door to Charlotte House for formal photographs. With canapés eaten, the time had come for the main meal in The Orangery, a stunning room with a 19 metre glass exterior 'wall' and enough space to easy seat 100+ guests.
With food eaten, wine drunk and moving speeches complete, MP took the couple in a street-legal gold buggy (provided by Charlotte House,) through the centre of Lincoln for some very special photographs around Lincoln Cathedral. We returned to the Charlotte House in perfect time for Emma and Matthew to cut their AMAZING cake by The Little Chocolatier, and take their first dance to music from Lincoln Disco. The Orangery came into its own once again, thanks to its built-in lighting system.
The MP Team would like to wish Emma and Matthew all the love and happiness in the world for their future together.
They fly to Cancun (Mexico) next month for their honeymoon.
We have shared a selection of special previews (over 100 images) from their Wedding photography collection below and will share additional previews soon.
As always, enjoy!
