Mark Pugh was privileged to capture the wedding of Claire and Michael at their local church, with a reception at one of his favourite venues, Langar Hall.
THE DAY OF THEIR WEDDING
Mark Pugh joined the bridal party for Claire’s preparations at her home. He was no stranger to the family, having captured Claire’s sister’s wedding at Stapleford Park a few years previously:
Mark said: “A a majority of my wedding photography commissions come via previous client recommendations, so it was an honour to have been able to capture the wedding days of two lovely sisters.
Claire’s home was just a short drive from her local church, so it was a matter of moments in her chauffeur-driven vintage Rolls Royce before she arrived to meet Michael who was waiting patiently for her.
After a beautiful ceremony, the guests spilled-out into the beautiful late-September sunshine for confetti and a few informal photographs.
Another short drive later, and the wedding party was at the reception venue, Langar Hall. This exquisite venue never fails to impress, with impeccable service matched by stunning cuisine. It is always a joy to work here, and the staff could not have been more helpful in allowing me access to capture specific photographs.
With the formal photographs completed, I took the couple down along the beautiful tree-lined boulevard that leads up to the house. It provided a stunning backdrop to what was the perfect day.
After returning to the house, the time had come for speeches and the wedding breakfast. I was fortunate to be able to sample Langar Hall’s food once again, and I am pleased to report it was up to its usual high standard.
I took a short walk in the grounds whilst the wedding party was eating, but my short walk actually ended-up being quite a long walk, having discovered a woodland path that took me around the edge of the estate past some beautiful ponds.
With the wedding breakfast complete, the wedding party adjourned to the garden room and conservatory whilst the main dining room was converted into a disco.
I left a very happy Claire and Michael dancing the night away surrounded by their friends and family.
They’re a super couple, and it was a genuine privilege to have been able to capture their beautiful wedding."
Congratulations!
Their final wedding photography collection will contain over 400 plus images, and we will share additional image previews soon.
As always, enjoy.

ABOUT THEIR WEDDING VENUE LANGAR HALL
The Daily Telegraph's Fiona Duncan believes that Langar Hall is her favourite hotel in England, and it is easy to see why. It is rare to find a building that is both grand and homely. The extensive grounds, and wonderful food, make this the perfect venue for any special occasion, and with easy access to the beautiful Vale of Belvoir, the Hall remains a firm favourite with visitors and regulars.
