Mark Pugh joined Vickie and John at Rutland Water, which the couple had chosen for their wedding consultation meeting and preWED photography session.
The trio enjoyed ice cream from a van and took some time to explore Normanton Church on the shores of Rutland Water which is the largest artificial reservoir in Europe. The ground floor of the church was filled with concrete and flooded when the reservoir was constructed, and Normanton Church is available today for intimate civil ceremonies.
The couple will be married later this year with a wedding reception at The Chequers at Woolsthorpe-by-Belvoir.
Mark Pugh said: "I'm looking forward to seeing the team at The Chequers at Woolsthorpe for Vickie and John's wedding.
This venue boasts one of the finest pubs in the Vale of Belvoir, an acclaimed restaurant, garden, cricket pitch and a large function area perfect for weddings and accommodation, all in the shadow of Belvoir Castle. It is hard to imagine a more perfect country retreat, and I unreservedly recommend this venue to you."
Vickie and John are a lovely couple, and Mark Pugh cannot wait to capture their wedding soon.
Their main preWED photography collection contains 100 plus images. However, we have decided to share 20ish image previews on behalf of www.markpugh.com, and these can be viewed below.
As always, enjoy.
ABOUT THEIR WEDDING VENUE CHEQUERS AT WOOLSTHORPE-BY-BELVOIR
Imagine the quintessential English inn. What do you see? An idyllic rural setting? A cricket pitch in the grounds? A wide selection of fine ales and exquisite food? A roaring log fire and cosy atmosphere?
The Chequers at Woolsthorpe-by-Belvoir has all of these, and more, and is the perfect place to unwind with friends and enjoy a drink.
With its four bedrooms, it is the perfect base to explore the unspoilt beauty of the Vale of Belvoir, or to end the day after visiting Belvoir Castle which can be seen from the grounds.
A word of advice: The pub gets very busy in summertime, so it is important to book well in advance if you would like to stay or eat the award winning cuisine
There is a sizable beer garden and a large dining area for weddings and larger functions. Despite all of this space, The Chequers always feels cosy, warm and intimate, and it is for this reason it is on our list of highly recommended places to visit and stay in the Vale of Belvoir.
