Sam and Laura's wedding was a beautiful, grand, yet relaxed, affair.
The couple had gone to great lengths to ensure all of their guests had a wonderful day, and the time and effort they put into their personal wedding planning was evident throughout.
THE DAY OF THEIR WEDDING
Mark Pugh joined bride Laura in her family home to capture the finishing touches of her bridal preparations. The house, and family, were both familiar to him, as he had the privilege of capturing Laura’s sister's wedding in 2011.
Mark Pugh captured the beautiful moment Laura walked down the stairs with her father waiting, teary-eyed, for her at the bottom. It was a sequence of special images he had captured a few years before for her sister Aimee’s wedding.
Laura's Rolls Royce Phantom from Lymn was waiting outside to take her to Kettlethorpe Church where groom Sam was patiently waiting.
Laura took the short walk down the aisle, which was lined with beautiful candles, to meet Sam.
With the exchange of vows and rings, they stepped outside for confetti and a short drive in the Rolls Royce to their wedding reception venue (The Coach House) at Doddington Hall in Lincolnshire.
The Coach House was created in 2011 when the owners of the Hall extended and refurbished part of the site. Laura and Sam had booked all three rooms in the building, the Garden Room, the Green Wing and the Curruthers Room. This allowed their guests to spread out, and allowed the tables for food and the entertainment to be permanently set up, without the need to ‘change over’ the rooms at any time.
After canapés and a small selection of family group photography around the grounds of Doddington Hall, the time had come for the wedding breakfast.
Sam’s best man had arranged for everyone to have Pink and Blue ‘voting cards’ to allow them to guess whether it was Laura, or Sam, who had said or done certain things. It was certainly one of the most entertaining speeches Mark Pugh had seen for a very long time.
With the cake-cut complete, the couple then joined Mark for a special newlyWED love session at Doddington Hall’s recently opened luxury accommodation where they stayed the night.
Their evening ended with wonderful entertainment and Sam and Laura's first dance was beautiful.
We hope you enjoy viewing this stunning feature.
Their main wedding photography collection contains 400 plus images. However, Mark Pugh's Team have decided to share 200ish photographs on behalf of www.markpugh.com, and these can be viewed below.
As always, enjoy.

ABOUT DODDINGTON HALL
Doddington Hall was built between 1593 and 1600 by Robert Smythson for Thomas Tailor, who was a lawyer, the Recorder to the Bishop of Lincoln. It is a grade I listed building. The facade is wide, but the house is only a single room deep at the centre.
The Hall's contents, including textiles, ceramics, porcelain, furniture and pictures, reflect 400 years of unbroken family occupation. It is surrounded by 6 acres of walled and wild gardens with flowering from early spring until autumn.
The Hall and Gardens are open to the public, with facilities for private tours and school visits. Summer concerts and occasional exhibitions are held in the Long Gallery. Other businesses have been developed on the estate such as the sale of Christmas trees, weddings and a farm shop selling local produce.
Daniel Codd in Haunted Lincolnshire claims that Doddington Hall is haunted by a girl who threw herself from the roof whilst being pursued by a lustful squire: each autumn her ghost screams in terror as it falls from the roof.
